TODAY A NEW TRUCK is going to set you back anywhere from $25,000 to $50,000, that's a whole lot of cash; that's what a house cost a few decades ago. Buying a new truck sure would be great, with a nice lift, eye-catching wheels, larger tires, and some body accessories. Wait a minute - a brand new truck with aftermarket accessories; what about the factory warranty? Is it still going to be under warranty after all this cool stuff is bolted on?
The fact is, installing aftermarket accessories will not automatically void the factory warranty. Most people don't know it, but there is a federal law called the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act that protects consumer's rights with regard to product warranties.
