Dealer Services International Offers Total Protection for Your New Rig

TODAY A NEW TRUCK is going to set you back anywhere from $25,000 to $50,000, that's a whole lot of cash; that's what a house cost a few decades ago. Buying a new truck sure would be great, with a nice lift, eye-catching wheels, larger tires, and some body accessories. Wait a minute - a brand new truck with aftermarket accessories; what about the factory warranty? Is it still going to be under warranty after all this cool stuff is bolted on?

The fact is, installing aftermarket accessories will not automatically void the factory warranty. Most people don't know it, but there is a federal law called the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act that protects consumer's rights with regard to product warranties. We won't go into detail here, but you can learn more about it, go to SEMA's (Specialty Equipment Market Association) web site at www.sema.org and scroll down to Consumers, then click on Vehicle Warranty.

So, if a new rig at the local dealer caught your eye, but you're concerned that these modifications would affect the warranty, don't be; Dealer Services International (DSI) literally has got you covered. When you buy a truck built by DSI, you have the option to include a powertrain warranty specifically for new lifted vehicles. These warranties range from 3 year/36,000 miles to 5 year/100,000 miles. In most cases they have warranties that either match or extend beyond the factory warranty period. They cover a wide range of powertrain components such as the engine, transmission, transfer case, drive axles (front and rear), and cooling. They even offer rental car reimbursement and trip interruption coverage. There are some exclusions, so you should always read the powertrain contract for specific coverage and limitations when purchasing this type of protection.

So if you're driving by one of your local dealers and a big lifted rig grabs your eye, go ahead and take it for a test drive. If it's a DSI built vehicle you can be sure it's built right, and you have the option of taking it home with their Total Protection Powertrain Warranty that's also available at the 4 Wheel Parts stores as well. Call DSI at 800-741-3956 for more information.
