Daystar delivers the goods with a 1-3/4" lift that provides enough room to clear 33" tall tires without impacting ride quality.
The lift starts with exact-fit polyurethane coil spring spacers that are positioned above the factory coil springs. The spacers provide extra insulating properties to the suspension that minimizes Noise, Vibration, and Harmonics (NVH). Because the factory coil springs are retained, there is no impact on factory ride quality.
In addition to the coil spring spacers, Daystar addresses compression travel with extended length polyurethane bump stops front and rear. Rear sway bar spacers are also supplied to avoid bar-to-exhaust interference. The system will work with the factory shock absorbers, or longer shocks can be purchased to restore extension travel.
The kit can also be combined with Daystar's unique 1" body lift (sold separately) to clear 35" tires while still maintaining factory ride quality!
In addition to the 1-3/4" suspension lift and 1" body lift, Daystar offers 3/4" coil spacers to offset the height lost from adding heavy aftermarket accessories (such as a winch bumper) and replacement Poly Flex control arms that unlock hidden suspension travel in the factory suspension design. Designed for serious off-roaders, this extreme performance light incorporates a moisture and dust resistant body for maximum life expectancy. JKS Manufacturing has just released a highly effective and economical solution to a problem that involves the factory track bar mount on the rear axle housing. Vehicle owners and industry specialists have reported an alarming number of rear track bar failures due to insufficient bracing of the factory mount. Most failures occur after the vehicle has been lifted, especially when aftermarket extension brackets are involved; some have even experienced failure on stock applications.
When failure occurs, the vehicle is unsafe to drive and must be repaired before it can be safely operated. In most cases, the problem is not covered by the factory warranty and complete axle housing replacement is the only solution offered by dealerships. Unfortunately, this does nothing to correct the original problem, which is bound to reoccur unless more effective measures are taken.
JKS developed the Rear Trackbar Brace constructed of high strength 7-gauge steel that has been precision cut and formed using CNC equipment, and fits perfectly over the factory mount with 45-degree reinforcement wings. This triangulates the mounting configuration to resist lateral track bar forces that would otherwise tear the weak factory mount from the axle. For additional strength, the brace wraps under the axle housing and attaches on the opposite side. This not only distributes track bar forces over a greater area, but also provides a smooth, snag-free surface to slide over obstacles. Furthermore, during installation it eliminates the need for awkward overhead welding and improves weld penetration. The brace is compatible with most track bars, extension brackets and lift kits.
