Flex-a-lite has a new 27” electric fan for Chevy full size trucks (1967-2002), Ford trucks (1980-1996), Dodge (1972- 1990), Nissan (1996-2001) with 28” radiators. This new 27” (Part #295) electric fan is actually two 13 1/2” fans that pull 4600 cubic feet of air per minute and eliminate the stock belt-driven fan and shroud. These electric fans improve horsepower and gas mileage, reduce fan noise, improve a/c output, and allow more control over the cooling parameters. They require 17 1/2”x27 1/2”x4” to mount, and are constructed of a glass reinforced injection molded shroud with a full contact rubber seal to ensure maximum cooling through the radiator. The units come with a variable speed control module that operates the fans from 60% to 100% depending on engine temperature. When the air-conditioning comes on, the fan will operate at 60% unless the engine temperature requires more. The control module will delay the startup of the fan for five seconds after the ignition is on, then will delay for up to 30 seconds after shut-down if engine needs additional cooling.
